Why Is It That Many Artists Do Not Like Guitar Hero
many bands do not like the whole idea of Guitar Hero because they do not think that it encourages people to go out and play for real. Major artists like Jack White and Jimmy Page have said in the past that they simply do not see the point in it at all and that rather than paying out for electric guitars, parents are going out and buying them the entire Guitar Hero or Rock Band package.Is something like this really contributing to the fact the music industry is failing or is this nonsense?
Positives
Many artists believe that Guitar Hero is actually the antichrist the music which is complete nonsense, all it does is help to make children and indeed people more aware of the industry. The great thing is that so many people have actually picked up this game and then thought, you know what, I will try the real thing out now, this is something that is fantastic.
Negatives
One of the only issues that I personally have with the game is that it really only chooses to focus in on encouraging the use of the electric guitar. What about the other guitars like bass guitars and of course electro acoustic guitars. It is very true to say that bands need these types of guitarists too. I can also see the point in that people may just think that it is a game and cannot be bothered to take the time to pick up the real thing although on the most part I think that this isn’t the case.
Guitar Hero, along with Rock Band are not there to stop people from going out and playing the real thing, not by any means, they are there to help inspire, to help people to see how awesome playing the guitar, drums and singing really is
